27DNA, NOT ONE TYPE

How 9WAY presents your results

  • 01

It does not reduce a person to one personality type.

  • 02

It considers both the ranking of 27 DNAs and the combination of top strengths.

HOW WE VALIDATE

We tested whether results stay consistent and hold up when checked again.

We checked whether related questions align, retests stay similar, and real career groups show meaningful differences.

9/9

Role consistency

Questions about the same role produced more similar responses.

9/9

Cross-method check

Independent questions produced the same pattern.

0.71

Retest stability

Overall strength profiles remained similar on a retest.

2–9x

Career-group validity

Strength patterns differed across real career groups.

View samples and validation methods

Role consistency

Across 31,266 choice responses, all nine roles showed stronger consistency within the same role than across different roles.

Cross-method check

When measured again with independent questions not used for scoring, all nine roles matched across the two methods.

Retest stability

Among people retested at least one day later, the median profile correlation was 0.71 and 69.5% retained at least two of their top three strengths.

Career-group validity

Across 48 adult career groups, counseling ranked highest in Activation and legal work in Evaluation, with differences 2–9 times above a randomized baseline.

Cronbach’s alpha, designed for Likert scales, is not valid for this forced-choice design. September 2026 data — consistency n=579 · cross-method n=570 · retest n=256 · career groups n=6,257.

People who turned results into their own language

These users did not create new strengths; they recognized patterns they had already been repeating.

K

“The results helped me understand why execution gives me more energy than planning. It became easier to explain the role I can take first on a team.”

Kim 29, Marketer
L

“Instead of describing my personality vaguely, I could connect my strengths to real experiences and make my interview answers more specific.”

Lee 34, Career Changer
P

“I started by asking how my strengths show up at work, rather than only what job I should choose. That gave me a criterion for my next decision.”

What to know before you start

01 What is included for free?
Taking the assessment and viewing the basic strength results are free. If you choose deeper AI interpretation or a separate report, the scope and price are shown before payment.
02 How long does the diagnosis take?
Most people finish in about 10 minutes on a phone or computer. Basic results appear immediately after completion; optional AI interpretation is presented separately.
03 How is this different from MBTI?
MBTI describes preferences as types. 9WAY ranks 27 Strength DNAs across thinking, relationships, and action. It does not reduce you to one type; it helps you explore how your top-strength combination can be used at work, in relationships, and for growth.
04 How was the assessment validated?
We evaluate a forced-choice assessment across four suitable dimensions: within-role consistency, cross-method checks with independent items, retest stability, and differences across career groups. In September 2026 data, all nine roles met the consistency and cross-method criteria, and median retest profile correlation was 0.71. Sample sizes and limitations are disclosed.
05 How are responses and personal data handled?
